Brian picking the first chard of the season

We hope this post finds you warm and well. We have many new updates and exciting things happening! If you were are a current CSA Member for 2014,  you should have received our CSA Renewal Letter and Annual Report in the mail. If not, please let us know so that we can update your address.

In our annual letter we shared the results of our first CSA Survey and many changes we plan on implementing for 2015, including:

  • More Grass Fed Beef (available now!)
  • More Whole Chicken
  • More Thanksgiving turkeys
  • Improved meat organization and signage
  • Improved parking and driveway access
  • Additional information and recipes in newsletters
  • Farm to table dinners, farm tours, and workshops
  • Improved online experience, including Online Payment system (active now!)

Another big change for us this year is that, due to our farm lease expiring, we may be looking to relocate the CSA Stand and pick up site to another location very close by. Stay tuned for more information on potential site locations, timing, and how you can help during the relocation process. We are anticipating being at our current location on Valley Road for the majority of this season.

We would also like to extend our sincerest thanks to Friends of the Farms for all of their work this year supporting our farm and helping to preserve and protect many of the parcels we farm on on Bainbridge Island. We serve on their Board of Directors and appreciate all that they do improving roads, infrastructure, and managing our Open Space Ag lands. Find out more about Friends of the Farms and their organization.

We are incredibly hopeful that with your support and energy behind us, this season will be the biggest and best yet. We feel so lucky to be your farmers and truly appreciate your continued support.
